Market arrivals have been increased by about 300 tonnes while a minor increase in the prices were noticed.

Seeding of corn has been delayed in the eastern part of the country due to heavy rainfall.

Slightly higher temperature during day time and low temperature during night with sunshine have facilitated maturity and opening of late formed bolls that facilitate harvesting and post harvest activities in the northern states of Punjab,Rajasthan and Gujrat. Cotton exports of India are anticipated to increase by about 57 per cent, which comes to almost 5.5 million bales.
