Jeera

Jeera sowing continues in Gujarat and 50% of it is complete. Sowing of Jeera was delayed due to rains received in Gujarat during November but it is under full swing in Rajasthan now. Weather outlook is favourable for the crop.

Chilli

The recent heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu caused damage to the crop. Overall production is expected to be higher due to a rise in acreage. However, prices have increased due to the adverse weather effect on the productivity of the crop.

Grapes

The early sown grape crop is in flowering to fruiting stage in Maharashtra region. Dry weather persists in the coastal areas and will favour the crop development and growth. Rain during this stage may harm the crop.
