Maize
Andhra Pradesh
Among the maize producing districts Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Krishna, West Godavari, Mahabubnagar, Guntur ,the cumulative ten days rainfall received is 65- 133mm and the temperature varied between 24-31 C which is very much beneficial for the vegetative growth of the crop.
Karnataka
The widespread rainfall and moderate temperature among the major growing districts Belgaum, Haveri, Bellary, Gadag, Bagalkot, Hassan and Shimoga is 88-379 mm and 19-27 C which is beneficial for the crop. However, excess rain water should not stagnate in the field otherwise crop will be damaged.
Madhya Pradesh
The cumulative rainfall for last ten days in the major producing districts Chindwara, Betul, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Sidhi, Shivpuri is 90-218 mm and the temperature varied between 24-34 C. Overall weather condition are very much favourable for the growth and development of the crop.
The major maize producing districts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan received late monsoon that delayed sowing however, the prevailing good weather conditions have been very much favourable for the early growth and development of the crop. The continuing mild temperature and distributed rainfall will boost the production.
Excess rain water if stagnate in the maize crop field, the roots are affected and crop is damaged. Therefore, proper care is required for draining out excess water from the field.

Mung
Maharashtra
The major growing districts of Maharashtra Dhule, Jalgaon, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Buldhana, Aurangabad, Jalna, Nanded and Beed received cumulative rainfall for last ten days which varied between 65-100 mm except for Nanded where rainfall was only 28 mm . The temperature range is 22-31 C, overall weather condition among the above districts is very much congenial for the vegetative growth of the crop.
Excess rain water should not stagnate in the field and it should be drained quickly.
Rajasthan
Among the major growing districts Jhunjhunun, Churu, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalor, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Tonka and Jaipur received cumulative rainfall (65-193mm) in the last ten days and temperature is varying between 25-36 C. Crop sowing was delayed due to late receipt of rainfall however, late rain facilitated the sowing of the crop and its early growth . Late sown crop will be less affected with the virus.
Andhra Pradesh
Among the districts Adilabad, Warangal, Khammam, EastGodavari, Krishna and Srikakulam rain was received earlier which enabled the farmers to sow the crop from middle of June to the end of June. The widespread rainfall, hot and humid condition is very much congenial for the growth of the crop. The forecasted weather condition is also favourable for initiation of flowering and pod development.
Karnataka
Mung producing districts Gulbarga, Bijapur, Belgaum, Dharwad and Haveri received rainfall which varied 45-351 mm in the last ten days. The crop was sown early ,the prevailing weather condition is favourable for the growth of the crop however, excess rain water must be drained out from the mung plots.
In the state of Bihar ,Uttar Pradesh , Punjab, Gujarat .The widespread rain in the month of July helped in sowing of the crop among above states. As per weather forecast ,the intermittent rain will benefit the crop. Excess rain water should not stagnate the field otherwise crop will be damaged .
The overall condition of the crop is satisfactory except for the districts which was affected by the flood.
Mung crop is more susceptible to stagnating rain water. Therefore, utmost care should be taken to drain out excess water.

Cashew
Cashew crop best adopted to coastal regions and requires 600-4500 mm rainfall .The suitable temperature is 28 C is best for growth however, it can tolerate the temperature upto 36 C.
Among the major producing states are Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu , Orissa, Maharashtra received wide rainfall, humid and hot condition is continuing . Onion
Kharif onion crop requires 10-11 hr. sunshine and 15-21 C for vegetative growth.
Maharastra
Among the districts(Nashik, Ahmednagar, Pune and Satara) at present , the temperature is varying between 21-27 C. The cumulative rainfall received for the last ten days is in between 174-401mm except in Ahmednagar where cumulative rainfall was only 40 mm. The weather condition is very much favourable for the transplanting and establishment of seedling. It is also forecasted that rain will be continued which will facilitate further transplanting.
Andhra Pradesh
Onion is transplanted among the districts Srikakulam, Mahbubnagar, Kurnool and Cuddapah in the month of May and June .The temperature is varying between 22-30 C and cumulative rainfall for the last ten days varied between 70-91 mm.The present and forecasted weather condition will be very much congenial for the growth of the crop.
Tamil Nadu
Onion transplanting is completed in April-May in the district Coimbatore, Teni, Namakkal, Salem and Dharmapuri . The temperature is varying between 18-30 C. The cumulative rain varied between 12-87 mm wherever rains are scanty that requires irrigation to boost the crop. However, overall weather is favourable for the crop.
Karnataka
Among the districts (Dharwar, Bagalkot, Bijapur and Kolar) transplanting of onion is in progress .The temperature is varying between 21-27 C . The cumulative rain varied between 27-211 mm. The present weather condition is favourable for transplanting and establishment of seedling.
In the state of Gujarat and Rajasthan the seed is sown in the nursery .The widespread rain and receding temperature will be helpful for the growth of nursery.

Haryana
Basmati Rice producing districts (Sirsa, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat) received cumulative rainfall for the last ten days which varied between 85-131 mm and temperature variation was 25-34 C . Sugarcane South
In south India planting of sugarcane is done in January-February . In addition Maharashtra and Karnataka planting is done in December-February, October-November and July-August. Cotton
Punjab
In the major growing area of Punjab (Faridkot, Muktsar, Bhatinda, Ferozpur and Mansa), Cotton crop is in growth stage .The prevailing humid hot weather condition and very good cumulative rainfall for the last ten days have facilitated vegetative growth of the crop which will help for square formation and flowering.
In the central zone, the states of Gujarat , Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra received widespread rainfall which facilitated sowing of cotton crop in the last week of June and first week of July. The continuing hot and humid condition and well distributed rainfall facilitated the growth and development of the crop . It is expected that during this year cotton production will be increased.

Sugarcane North

Soyabean
Soybean is a short day plant. It completes its life cycle in 100 days under Indian condition whereas it completes its lifecycle in 180 days in other countries where yield level is very high. It require frequent rainfall for growth and high RH for seed development and dry period for maturity .Delay sowing beyond 15th of July drastically reduces the yield level in India . Madhya Pradesh
Among the major producing districts (Shivpuri, Guna, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, Shajapur, Harda, Khandwa, Seoni, Chindwara, Balaghat, Hosangabad, Sehore and Raisen), the cumulative rainfall for the last ten days varied between 55-122 mm , temperature varied between 23-32 C and RH 80-90 % . Maharashtra
The major soybean producing area (Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Nanded, Yavatmal, Amravati, Sangli, Satara, Latur, Osmanabad, Kolhapur, Beed, Jalna, Parbhani, Nashik, Ahmadnagar, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Hingoli and Akola . Received 60-200mm rainfall and temperature varied 21-31 C and RH 90-95 % . Tea
Among the major tea producing districts of Kerala(Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Thrissur, Idukki, Kottayam, Kollam, Wayanad and Thiruvanthapuram) and Karnataka (Hassan, Chikmagalur and Medikari) received heavy rainfall for the last ten days and it is forecasted that both the above states will get rainfall in coming fortnight .The weather condition is very much favourable for the regular flush for July-August picking of fresh buds and leaves.
The mild rains received in the districts of Tamil Nadu (Coimbatore, Kanyakumari, Madurai and Nilgiri) will also be useful for July-August picking of leaves .

Rajasthan
