Tea

Among the major tea producing districts of Kerala(Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Thrissur, Idukki, Kottayam, Kollam, Wayanad and Thiruvanthapuram) and Karnataka (Hassan, Chikmagalur and Medikari) received heavy rainfall for the last ten days and it is forecasted that both the above states will get rainfall in coming fortnight .The weather condition is very much favourable for the regular flush for July-August picking of fresh buds and leaves.

The mild rains received in the districts of Tamil Nadu (Coimbatore, Kanyakumari, Madurai and Nilgiri) will also be useful for July-August picking of leaves .

The weather condition is very much congenial for the growth of fresh transplanted tea seedlings which is done in April-May.

The major tea producing districts of Himachal Pradesh(Mandi, Kangra and Chamba) and Assam(Darrang, lakhimpur, Karbianglong, Goalpara, NorthCacharslill, Dibrugara, Cachar and Naraon ) where plucking is done weekly from April-December. The widespread rainfall received and fair amount of rain forecasted will be very much congenial for the development of buds and leaves and will boost the production.

Maize

Andhra Pradesh
Among the maize producing districts Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Krishna, West Godavari, Mahabubnagar, Guntur ,the widespread rain received is very much beneficial for the growth of the crop.

Among the other maize growing states Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh ,the rainfall received, forecasted rainfall, prevailing temperature and RH will be very much beneficial for the establishment and growth of the crop.

In Rajasthan state, amount of rainfall received among the maize growing districts Chittaurgarh, Udaipur, Banswara, Ajmer, Bundi, Bhilwara, Rajasmand is very much favourable establishment and growth of the crop. The forecasted weather condition is also congenial for the overall growth of the crop.

Chilli
In the major growing states Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharshtra, Karnataka where widespread rains received ,favourable temperature and RH facilitated the transplanting of chilli seedlings among the above states .The forecasted weather condition will be very much favourable for the establishment and growth of the seedling.
The weather condition is also very much favourable for the green chilli yield among the above states .
