Mustard
Forecast rainfall in east Uttar Pradesh and south Bihar will benefit sowing of the Mustard crop. The ideal temperature for sowing is 28 to 30 degree Celsius. Sowing of the crop is advised here as good moisture and optimum temperatures can be achieved now. But dry weather prevailing in Gujarat will delay sowing while it has started in some parts of Rajasthan.

Wheat
The weather is congenial for the field preparations of the Rabi Wheat crop in north and northwest India. Dry and sunny weather prevalent here will be supportive. Light rains ensuing from a Western Disturbance towards end of week may become instrumental in cleansing weed seeds by causing their germination.

Basmati Rice
The dry weather prevailing in the Basmati producing districts Punjab and Haryana will be helpful. The crop is at pre-maturity stage. The harvesting will start from the end of October while light weekend showers may cause some quality concerns by adding unwanted moisture to the crop.
