Mustard
India
Slightly higher temperatures in the North-west plain zone is hastening flowering and fruiting of normal sown mustard crop.
However, late sown mustard crop is in vegetative and flowering stage.
Harvesting and post harvesting activities of early sown(in September) crop of toria and mustard will be completed by end of December.
According to government sources,arrivals of mustard in mandi's have decreased sharply. A slight change in prices was noticed.


International
Australia
Harvesting and post harvest activities continues in the western part of Australia. Australia is expecting a drop in canola production due to dry conditions in the major producing areas in southern part of country.

Canada
Crushing of canola continues. The country has recorded higher production although majority of the crop has been affected by Salmonella.


Groundnut
India
Harvesting and post harvest activities continue smoothly in the states of Gujrat,Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh and Punjab.
Light scattered rainfall received in the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will be beneficial for the sown crop which is establishment and germination stages.

International
Pakistan
Harvesting and Post harvest operations continue smoothly. The country is expecting an overall increase in the groundnut production.

South Africa
Normal temperature and optimum soil conditions encourage sowing activities in the country. The estimated area under Groundnut had increased.

Castor
India
Dry and normal temperatures in the states of Gujrat,Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh have encouraged harvesting activities.
Harvesting of Castor crop in the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will commence from mid-December.
According to government sources,both Arrivals and Prices have shown a sharp decrease.

Moderate rains in the region where Castor is grown are conducive for the crop which is in sowing stages.

China
Dry and normal temperature in the southern part of the country encouraged harvesting of the Castor crop.

Sesamum
India
Post harvesting activities of the Kharif crop continue in the states of Gujrat,Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,Maharashtra,and Madhya Pradesh.
Last scattered rains along with normal temperatures in the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are beneficial for the sesame crop which is in establishment stages.
