According to Market sources the rice prices have risen over the past few months despite good crops and healthy levels of stocks.
Market arrivals have got a huge downfall whereas the prices of rice have increased upto Rs.287/quintal in the last two days.

Harvesting and post harvest activities of castor crop are near completion in the states of Gujrat, Rajasthan, Orrisa, karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Current dry weather in these areas is conducive for the post harvesting activities.
