India
Current high temperatures in the states of Orissa and Bihar and north-east states is conducive for harvesting and post harvesting activities.
Current dry weather conditions,sunny days is conducive for harvesting and post harvesting of late sown musturd and post harvesting activities are continuing in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Post harvesting activities continued in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
Market arrivals of musturd increased very sharply whereas the prices have got a increament of Rs35/quintal in the last two days.

Sugarcane-
Dry weather,sunny days and higher temperature prevailing in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Bihar , Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu is conducive for harvesting of sugarcane among the above states. The climate is also suitable for gur industry among the above state.
In the northern India sugarcane planting is completed in Punjab,Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The crop planted in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh,Maharastra is doing well due to current
weather conditions .
According to government sources the years 2008-09 and 2009-10 were deficit years due to poor sugarcane supply. This prompted domestic prices to rise and resulted in a significant upward adjustment in sugarcane prices.

The high temperature in the states of south-eastern Rajasthan, Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh are conducive for harvesting and post harvesting activities.
The high temperature prevailing in the eastern zone consisting of Orissa,West Bengal and the North East states ,maturity will start little earlier .
The very high temperature sunny days and low Rh may affect the crop in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu, Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh.
Government data showed the wholesale price of wheat in India as of March 10 rose by 5.5%
Market arrivals of wheat increased very sharply whereas the prices have got a increament of Rs 84/quintal in the last two days.
