Cashew
India
Current dry weather and high temperature in the costal regions of Karnataka,Tamil Nadu ,Andhra Pradesh and Orissa have affected the flowering forcing the flower drops. However, sunny weather is favourable for picking of matured fruits.
According to government sources cashew nut posted high export earnings thanks to higher prices in the world market despite a decrease in export volume.

Maize
India
Current high temperature and sunny days in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh is beneficial for the post harvesting activities of September-October sown crop .
The current dry weather may affect the January and February sown crop .
According to government sources at present, maize prices in the rural areas have experienced a slump due to the bumper harvest.
Market arrivals of maize have decreased by 1342 tonnes whereas prices have increased by Rs60/quintal in the last two days.

Mung
The post harvesting activities of Rabi mung bean is almost completed in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh,Tamil Nadu, Orissa.
The current dry weather,sunny days and above normal weather may harm the summer mung germination and development in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Hayana, Delhi,Bihar,West Bengal.
Market arrivals of mung have decreased by 380 tonnes whereas prices have decreased by Rs 162/quintal in the last two days.

India
The current dry weather,high temperature prevailing in the states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh have forced maturity. Harvesting and post harvesting of chana crop continued among the above states.
The current dry weather in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka is beneficial for post harvesting activities of chana crop.
