Maize
Sowing operations are almost over in Bihar, UP and parts of north India. Kharif crop was damaged at many growing areas due to excessive or untimely rainfall this year. Current wet conditions in north Indian states like Punjab, Haryana, parts of UP are favourable for initial growth of the crop.

Chilli
Heavy rainfall occurred over Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka that will bring down the area under crop as compared to the same period last year. India's Chilli output is expected to be lower and arrivals of Chilli in Karnataka are expected to be less during this season.

Psyllium
Isabgol thrives well in warm-temperate regions. It requires cool and dry weather and is sown during winter months. The current weather prevailing in Gujarat and Rajasthan will favour sowing. Light rainfall in Rajasthan and Gujarat will be favourable for the sowing operations.
