Persistent wet conditions and humid weather will cause diseases and pests in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Light to moderate rainfall forecast in Gujarat may affect the crop arrivals. Small arrivals have started in Tamil Nadu but current weather will be adverse for the post harvest operations. Groundnut is at maturity stage in Orissa and harvesting is already underway at many places. Land preparations have started in major growing areas for the sowing of the Rabi Groundnut crop.
