Turmeric
Expected isolated heavy rainfall in Kerala & coastal Karnataka and light to moderate rainfall in Tamil Nadu will adversely affect the yield of the Turmeric crop that is at harvesting stage. Post harvest operations will also be subdued. Small arrivals have begun from Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra but these might get delayed or disrupted due to current weather conditions.

Arhar
Persistent wet conditions and humid weather will cause diseases and pests in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. But predicted light rainfall in Maharashtra will be congenial for the crop that is in late flowering to pod formation stage. Light rain or showers in Madhya Pradesh are favourable for the development of the crop.
