Barley
India
The recent rains received in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh are very much conducive for the barley crop.
It is also beneficial for the early sown barley crop which is in fruiting stages.
Market arrivals have increased whereas increase of 85 Rs/quintal in the prices were noticed during last two days.

Harvesting and post harvest activities of barley crop continues in the barley growing areas of the country. Current dry weather is favourable for the crop harvesting & post harvest activities.

The early sown wheat crop in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat, is benefited by the current normal temperatures in these states.
Market arrivals have increased sharply whereas increase of 87 Rs/Quintal in the prices were noticed during last two days.

India
Harvesting & post harvest activities of tea crop are almost complete in the growing belt of tea in Assam & Tripura region.
Current dry weather is beneficial for the post harvest activities, however, light rainfall is expected in these areas in coming days.
Light rainfall expected in the southern parts of the country will be benefecial for the tea crop fruiting.
According to Tea Board Statistics, North Indian tea plantations reported higher production whereas a marginal decrease in the production is reported in southern India.
