Pepper
India
Harvesting and post harvesting activities of pepper are in progress in the states of Tamilnadu, Kerela and Karnataka.
Current normal weather is likely to continue for the coming days in these areas which will be beneficial for the harvesting activities of pepper berries.
The market arrivals and prices of pepper have a slight increase during the last two days.

Harvesting & post harvest activities of the pepper crop continues in the parts of the country. Current normal temprature is favourable for the harvesting of the crop.

Current weather in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Madhya Pradesh is beneficial for the flowering of rabi maize crop.
Post harvest activities of kharif maize has been completed.
The current rainfall in the eastern India is beneficial for rabi maize.
According to government sources no significant change in the prices but a sharp downfall in market arrivals is noticed during last two days.

Light scattered rainfall along with normal temperatures are conducive for the maize crop.


Sugarcane-
Recent rainfalls in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are conducive for higher juice and sugar recovery .
Optimum day and night temperatures are favourable for higher sugar recovery in the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Good sunlight among above states is also beneficial for the gur production.
Indian Sugar Mills Association had said that global prices of sugar might decline in April.
