Tea
India
Current light rainfall in the eastern India is beneficial for the tea garden.
New flush will be available for the picking of the leaves in the growing belt of tea in Assam & Tripura region.
Tea production in South India decreased 2.7 million kg but the average auction prices increased by nearly Rs 25 a kg. The income for tea growers increased from Rs 1,636 crore to Rs 1,978 crore in 2009.
Market arrivals of tea have decreased whereas the prices remains the same in the last two days

Sri Lanka
Scattered light rainfall is expected for the next few days in the parts of the country which is beneficial for the crop.
Sri Lanka exported 289 million kilos last year, recording shortfall of about 30 million kilos; lowest since 2000.

India
Harvesting activities of robusta coffee berries are near completion in the states of Kerela, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
Sunny Days in the southern states will be beneficial for the post harvest activities.
Market arrivals of coffee have decreased whereas the prices falls by Rs.100/quintal in the last two days.

Dry weather seems to continue in the parts of the country in the coming days. The production is likely to reduce around 30% in the country.
Brazil

India

Market arrivals of cashew has increased upto 50% whereas the prices have decreased Rs.4500/quintal in the last two days.

Turmeric
India
Harvesting of turmeric crop is near completion in the major growing belt of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Current dry and optimum temperature in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka will be beneficial for the matured turmeric crop and harvesting activities of the crop.
Prices of turmeric are rising at their higher levels in various markets.
As new crop will start arriving in markets by February and peak in March, prices may fall after February end.
Market arrivals of turmeric have increased upto 50% whereas the prices decreased by Rs.1500/quintal in the last two days
