Basmati Rice

Haryana
Among the districts Sirsa, Kaithal, Kurekshetra, Ambala, Karnal, Sonipat and Panipat the cumulative rainfall,temperature and RH in the last ten days varied from 58-109 mm ,25-34 C and 83-90 %. The prevailing humid ,hot and continuance of rainfall is congenial for boot leaf development of late transplanted crop and initiation of flowering in early transplanted crop.
Excess rain water should be drained out invariably from the plots otherwise stagnated water may cause lodging that reduces the yield badly particulary in Basmati rice.

Punjab


Among the districts Amritsar, Rupnagar, Patiala the cumulative rainfall, temperature and RH in the last ten days 54-115 mm,24-34 C and 85-90 %. The continuance of humid and hot condition and continuance of rainfall is congenial for boot leaf stage development in late transplanted and initiation of flowering in timely planted crop.
Excess rain water should be drained out invariably from the plots otherwise stagnated water may cause lodging that reduces the yield badly particulary in Basmati rice.

Cotton:


Punjab

The cumulative rain received,temperature and RH varied for the last ten days in the major cotton growing districts Faridkot, Muktsar, Bhatinda, Ferozpur, Mansa is 50-59 mm,25-33 C and 85-87%. The weather conditions are congenial for the continuance of flowering, boll formation and boll development.

Maharashtra

The widespread rain among the districts Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Parbhani and Nanded received rainfall,temperature and RH received between 64-159 mm between 21-30 C and 90-92 %. The weather conditions are congenial for the vegetative growth of cotton crop.
Excess rain water should be drained out from the cotton fields because cotton crop is very much susceptible against water stagnation.

Gujarat
The rainfall,temperature and RH among the districts Kachchh, Patan, Mahesana, Sabarkanta, Gandhinagar, Suredranagar, Ahmednagar, Vadodara, Narmada, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Junagarh, Amreli, Rajkot and Jamnagar is 55-198 mm,25-31 C and 89-93 %. The continuance of humid and hot condition and rainfall is very much conducive for the vegetative growth of the crop.

Andhra Pradesh
Among the districts Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Guntur, Nalgonda and Warangal from July-August in black and red soil. The cumulative rainfall,temperature and RH varied between 92-185 mm, 23-32 C and 82-89 % .
Weather conditions are favorable for the vegetative growth of the crop.

Andhra Pradesh
