Black Pepper
The crop remain in flowering from May to August,which requires moderate temperature and frequent rainfall with good drainage for the berry development . The state wise details are given as under :

Kerala
The major pepper producing districts Kannur, Kasargod ,Kozikhode, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvanthapuram the prevailing weather condition and forecasted rain will help in continuance of late flowering and berry development.

Tamil Nadu
In the major pepper producing districts Namakkal, Nilgiris and Dindigur there was some stress due to scanty rainfall in the middle of August .However, as per recent forecast rainfall will help in the berry development of the crop and even continuance of flowering at higher reaches.

Maize

Andhra Pradesh
Among the maize producing districts Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Krishna, West Godavari, Mahabubnagar, Guntur as per forecast the above districts may get widespread rain, crop is in seed development stage may get additional advantage of better seed development .
Excess rain water should be drained out from the field because maize crop is very much susceptible for water stagnation .

Karnataka
Among the major growing districts Belgaum, Haveri, Bellary, Gadag, Bagalkot, Hassan and Shimoga . The widespread rains are forecasted which will help the seed development stage as flowering and pollination is almost over.

Madhya Pradesh

Rajasthan
Among the maize growing districts Chittaurgarh, Udaipur, Banswara, Ajmer, Bundi, Bhilwara, Rajasmand mild rain is forecasted .Due to late sowing, crop is in flowering and pollination stage.


Bihar

Among the major growing districts Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Bhalgalpur, Saharsa, Madhepur .Due to late receipt of monsoon sowing was delayed. Mild rain is forecasted . The crop is in growth phase which will be benefited by the prevailing weather condition.

Guar

Normal growth and development of plant require 27-350C. It can tolerate both shade and frost, it is photosensitive and flowering occurs when it is shown in kharif season. The crop performs well where the rainfall ranges 250-500 mm under sandy soil .It is a kharif season crop. The erect growing variety row to row 30 cm.Two hand weedings one at 20 DAS and second at 45 DAS with the help of kassi or khurpi.The critical stages are :
1.seedling stage 2. branching initiation stage 3.grand growth stage 4.pod formation stage 5.grain maturation stage.
The major fertilizers are Nitrogen(15-20 kg / ha as starter dose) and Phosphorus(40-50 kg / ha) before sowing.

Insects Control
1.25 litre of Endosulfan 35 EC in 1000 litre of water should be sprayed or dusting of carbaryl 4%.Two to three spraying of mala thion 50 EC.

Disease Control
Alternaria leaf spot:- Spray 0.2% dithame Z-78 or Dithame M-45 (0.2%) at 10 days interval.
Powdery mildew:- Dusting of sulphur @ 15 kg/ha or 0.1% Karathane.

Rajasthan
The major growing districts Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu , Bikaner , Jaipur, Sikar , Jhunjhunu , Jaiselmer, Barmer, Jodhpur and Dausa .The forecasted weather condition of dry weather and sunny days will facilitate flowering and pod formation. Dry condition will also protect the crop against diseases and pest.

Gujarat

In the major guar producing districts Patan, Sabarkantha , Mahesena , Banaskantha and Kachchh the prevailing weather condition is conducive for growth and flowering of the crop.

Haryana
In the major growing districts Bhiwani, Mahendragarh, Rewari and Sirsa the prevailing weather condition will help the growth and flowering of the crop.
