Castor:

Gujarat

The cumulative last ten days rainfall,temperature varied from 57-270 mm,23-32 C and rh 87-90 % among the major growing districts Banaskantha, Kachchh, Patan, Mahesana, Sabarkantha, Junagarh, Rajkot, Suredranagar, Ahemdabad, Kheda, Gandhinagar and Vadodara.
Crop has almost completed vegetative growth and flowering initiation have started. It requires sunny humid and hot condition for flowering and pollination. Continuance of rainfall may affect the above stage. Excess water should be drained out from the field.

Rajasthan
Among the major growing districts ( Hanumamgarh, Jodhpur, Barmer, Pali, Jalor and Sirohi) the cumulative last ten days rainfall received from 14-98 mm ,RH was 82-89 % and the temperature (21-34 C). The humid hot condition and mild rainfall will boost the final vegetative growth stage of the crop and initiation of raceme development .

Tamil Nadu
Among the major growing districts Vellore, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Namakkal and Tiruchchirappalli received rainfall was 15-25 mm,temperature 20-31 C and RH 76-82% in last ten days. The weather conditions are congenial for pollination and fruit development .

Karnataka
Among the major growing districts Bellary, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Hassan, Mandya, Mysore and Bangalore .The rainfall varied between 29-294 mm,temperature is 20-26 C and RH is 88-92% . The continuance of heavy rain may influence flowering and fruit development . Excess rain water should invariably be drained out otherwise it will adversely affect the crop production .

Andhra Pradesh

The rainfall received in Karimganj, Medak, Rangareddy, Warangal, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Guntur and Prakasam 76-150 mm,temperature 22-31 C and RH 81-88%.
The crop is in flowering ,pollination and development of fruits .Excess rain water should be drained out to avoid crop losses.

Maharashtra
Among the major growing districts Nashik, Aurangabad, Beed, Nanded, Amravati and Wardha the rainfall for the last ten days is 80-172mm ,temperature 21-31 C and RH 90-92 %. Crop is in flowering , pollination and fruit development stage which requires clear sunny days and mild weather condition excess rain water should be drained out from the field as crop is susceptible to water logging.

Orissa
Among the major growing districts Valangir, Angul, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajpati, Pulbani, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Koratput and Navrangapur the rainfall,temperature and rh received in the last ten days is 31-89mm,24-31 C and 83-88 % . The prevailing weather condition is congenial for the growth and development of the crop.

Arhar



Uttar Pradesh


Among the major growing districts Kheri, Bhariach, Barabanki, Balia, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Allahabad, Paratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Banda, Fatehpur, Kanpur, Jaloan, Aligarh and Bulandshar the cumulative rainfall ,average temperature and RH in the last ten days is 51-142 mm, 26-33 C and 84-90%. The long duration arhar sowing was done in the month of July and also sown as a mixed crop along with Bajra in the end of July and 1st week of August . However,bajra sowing is delayed due to improper rains. The prevailing weather conditions are favorable for the vegetative growth of the crop.
The early sown crop in the western Uttar Pradesh is almost in the completion of vegetative phase. The weather condition is also very much helpful for the growth and initiation of the flowering.
Arhar crop is very much susceptible to water logging ,therefore excess rain water should be drained out quickly from the arhar plots.

Maharashtra

Among the districts Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Jalna, Jalgaon, Beed, Osmanabad, Nanded and Parbhani received cumulative rainfall ,average temperature and RH in the last ten days is 71-172 mm, 23-30 C and 88-90%. The continuance of humid hot condition coupled with rainfall will boost the growth of the crop.


Karnataka
The major districts received cumulative rainfall ,average temperature and RH in the last ten days is 36-294 mm, 21-28 C and 83-90% among the districts Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bellary, Bijapur, Belgaum, Dharwad, Devngere, Chitradurga, Tumkur and Kolar is favourable for the vegetative growth of the crop. In black cotton soil water stagnation may damage the crop where excess rain have taken place . Therefore, excess rain water should be drained out quickly.

Madhya Pradesh
The cumulative rainfall ,average temperature and RH in the last ten days is 140-225 mm, 22-32 C and 89-92% in the districts (Sidhi, Jabalpur, Chindwara, Betul and Narsimhpur ) .The prevailing weather condition are favourable for the vegetative growth of the crop.
Excess water should be drained out from the field.

Gujarat
The cumulative rainfall,average temperature and RH in the last ten days is 103-217 mm, 23-30 C and 91-92% in the districts Dahod, Narmada, Surat, Vadodara and Bharuch .The rain received and continued hot and humid weather condition prevailing will be helpful for the vegetative growth of the crop. However, excess rain water should be drained out from the arhar plots to avoid water stagnation.

Cotton:

Punjab

The cumulative rain received,temperature and RH varied for the last ten days in the major cotton growing districts Faridkot, Muktsar, Bhatinda, Ferozpur, Mansa is 14-37 mm,25-34 C and 84-86%. The prevailing hot ,humid and limited rainfall is congenial for continuance of flowering pollination and boll development .Pollination and boll development requires mild weather and sunny days. Overcasted condition prevailing is also attract insect infestation care should be taken to protect the crop against boll worms.

Maharashtra
The widespread rain among the districts Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Parbhani and Nanded received rainfall,temperature and RH received between 80-172 mm between 22-30 C and 87-90 %. The prevailing weather condition will facilitate vegetative growth of the crop.
Excess rain water should be drained out from the cotton plot because it does not tolerate water stagnation.

Gujarat
The widespread rainfall,temperature and RH among the districts Kachchh, Patan, Mahesana, Sabarkanta, Gandhinagar, Suredranagar, Ahmednagar, Vadodara, Narmada, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Junagarh, Amreli, Rajkot and Jamnagar is 62-270mm, 24-32 C and 88-92 %. The crop is in vegetative growth stage. The prevailing weather condition will help the growth stage. Excess rain water should be drained out from the cotton plots to avoid water stagnation.

Among the districts Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Guntur, Nalgonda and Warangal . The cumulative rainfall,temperature and RH varied between 76-185 mm,24-32 C and 86-88% . The prevailing weather condition is favourable for the vegetative growth of the crop. Excess rain water should be drained out from the cotton plots.
