Sugarcane North
Bihar
In the major sugarcane producing districts [Westchamparan, EastChamparan, Gopalganj] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 47.2-64.1 mm,24.3-33.6 C and 82.4-83.9 %. The crop is in grand growth stage. The continuance of rainfall and humid , hot condition and forecasted rain will boost the growth of the crop.
Punjab
In the major sugarcane producing districts [Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 122.7-138.3 mm,23.5-31.1 C and 89.6-90.2 %. The continuance of humid hot condition and continuance of rainfall will be conducive for grand growth stage.
Excess Rain water should not stagnate in the field otherwise crop will be affected adversely.
Haryana
In the major sugarcane producing districts [Kaithal, Karnal, Jind, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Faridabad] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 102.7-217.1 mm,22.8-32.1 C and 90.5-91.6 %.
The continuance of rainfall and humid hot condition will be conducive for the growth of the crop.
However the excess rain water should not stagnate in the field otherwise crop will be affected adversely.
UttarPradesh
In the major sugarcane producing districts [Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Budaun, Bijnor, Bareilly, Moradabad, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Sitapur, Bahraich, Balrampur, Gonda, Barabanki, Faizabad, Basti, Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh, Mahrajganj] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 51.4-286.6 mm,23.9-32.6 C and 83.1-93.4 %.The rainfall received and humid hot condition will boost the grand growth stage.
However where rainfall is continue from earlier , excess rain water should not stagnate in the field. Sugarcane is shallow rooted crop, regular submergence adversely affect the growth & development of the crop.

Punjab

Sesamum
Excellent crop is produced when the rainfall is 500-650 mm well distributed during growing period.
It is a short day plant. The optimum requirement of the temperature is 25-27 C for rapid germination, initial growth and flower initiation. High temperature above 40 C may adversely affect the reproductive phase.
Andhara Pradesh
