Chili
Andhara Pradesh
In the major chili producing districts [Adilabad, Warangal, Khammam, Srikakulam, Nalgonda, Guntur] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 56.9-129.5 mm,22.7-31.6 C and 80.1-88.3 %.The continuance of humid hot condition and rainfall is conducive for the growth and development of transplanted chili crop. Excess rain water should be drained out from the field invariably for airation and better growth .
Karnataka
In the major chili producing districts [Chitradurga, Gadag, Tumkur, Bijapur, Belgaum, Dharwar, Haveri, Bellary] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 11.6-104.6 mm,20.1-29.7 C and 76.4-93 %.The continuance of mild weather condition and rainfall is congenial for the growth and development of winter transplanted crop.
Tamil Nadu
In the major chili producing districts [Salem, Coimbatore, Cuddalore] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 21.0-99.1 mm,19.2-31.7 C and 82.2-84.1 %.The prevailing humid, hot conditions are conducive for the growth and development of winter transplanted crop.
Maharashtra
In the major chili producing districts [Amravati, Nanded, Aurangabad] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 11.1-88.3 mm,22.3-31.6 C and 85.3-88.6 %.The continuance of humid and hot condition is congenial for the vegetative growth and development for the transplanted winter chili crop.

Arhar
Arhar crop requires average rainfall of 600-650 mm with moist conditions for the first eight weeks and drier conditions during flowering and pod development stage ,this will result in highly successful crop. Rains during flowering results in poor pollination.
Arhar crop grown successfully in summer, rainy and winter season, April-Summer, June-Kharif or rainy, September-Rabi or winter season.
A crop of semi-arid tropics tolerant to dry conditions because of well-developed deep root system. However, the critical growth stages are branching, flowering and pod filling where moisture stress causes adverse effect therefore in the absence of rains irrigation is required.
Gujarat
In the major arhar producing districts [Dahod, Narmada, Surat, Bharuch] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 30.8-56.3 mm,22.6-30.8 C and 86.4-89.5 %. The crop have entered in the flowering stage. The continuance of humid ,hot condition is favourable for pollination and pod development. However, continuance of rainfall and overcasted condition may adversely affect the production.
Tamil Nadu
In the major arhar producing districts [Tiruvallur, Vellore, Erode] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 30.1-75.2 mm,20.3-32.8 C and 80-83.8 %. The continuance of humid ,hot condition is favouarble for flowering and pod development. The rainfall may affect the crop adversely due to water stagnation.
Madhya Pradesh
In the major arhar producing districts [Sidhi, Jabalpur, Betul] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 41.8-158.7 mm,22.4-30.9 C and 89.5-91.2 %.The crop have entered in the flowering stage. The rainfall and overcasted condition may adversely affect the crop.
Maharashtra
In the major arhar producing districts [Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Jalna, Jalgaon, Beed, Osmanabad, Nanded, Parbhani] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 16.4-107.4 mm,20.7-32 C and 84.3-88.6 %.
The crop is in flowering stage the continuance of humid, hot condition coupled with rainfall may be helpful for the development of the pod.
Karnataka
In the major arhar producing districts [Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bellary, Bijapur, Belgaum, Dharwar, Davangere, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Kolar] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 11.6-104.6 mm,20.1-30.3 C and 76.4-93 %.
The crop is in flowering stage. The continuance of humid, hot condition is congenial for pod development.
Uttar Pradesh
In the major arhar producing districts [Lakhimpur, Bahraich, Barabanki, Ballia, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Allahabad, Pratapgarh, Chitrakut, Banda, Fatehpur, Kanpur, Jalaun, Aligarh, Bulandshahar] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 64.1-244.6 mm,24.4-31.9 C and 86.2-92.8 %.The long duration arhar crop is in vegetative phase .Excess rainfall and water stagnation and flood water may badly damage the crop.
In the western districts early arhar crop is grown ,flowering is initiated. Rain may affect the crop by excess vegetative growth due to early flower drops, which takes place due to continuance of rainfall and overcasted condition.
Arhar is very much susceptible to water logging ,therefore excess rain water should invariably be drained out from the field, otherwise crop may be damaged. The flood water also kill the crop if water submergence continued.

In the major cotton producing districts [Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Guntur, Nalgonda, Warangal] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 56.9-129.5 mm,22.7-31.6 C and 80.1-88.3 %. Crop is in square formation and initiation of flowering .The continuance of humid ,hot condition will benefit the crop. However excess rain water should be drained out.
Gujarat
In the major cotton producing districts [Kachchh, Patan, Mahesana, Sabarkantha, Ghandhinagar, Surendranagar, Vadodra, Narmada, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Junagarh, Amreli, Rajkot, Jamnagar] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 22.9-102.1 mm,22.9-32.4 C and 85.8-92.7 %. The weather condition is congenial for square development and flowering, rain water should not stagnate in the field. Regular overcasted condition caused flower dropping.
Punjab
In the major cotton producing districts [Faridkot, Muktsar, Bhatinda, Ferozpur, Mansa] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 38.3-89.4 mm,22.6-32 C and 88.4-91.4 %.The crop is in the last phase of flowering and boll formation and boll growth. The humid ,hot condition is congenial for the crop.

In the major cotton producing districts [Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Parbhani, Nanded] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 11.1-90.5 mm,20.6-31.6 C and 85.1-88.6 %.The crop is in square formation and flowering. Weather is congenial for the crop development .
