Maize

Andhara Pradesh


In the major maize producing districts [Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Krishna, WestGodavari, Mahbubnagar, Guntur] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 97.0-230.2 mm,22.6-32.8 C and 82.3-89.3 %.The excess rainfall may harm the crop. The pollination of the crop is completed in major districts.

Madhya Pradesh

In the major maize producing districts [Chhidwara, Betul, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Sidhi, Shivpuri] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 18.0-145.0 mm,21.8-32.6 C and 83.7-95.1 %.The mild rainfall,temperature and RH is conducive for the grain development of the crop.

Bihar


In the major maize producing districts [Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Madhepur] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 20.4-63.6 mm,26.8-34.4 C and 79.9-85.6 %. Less rainfall in major areas may cause less production of the crop.

Karnataka


In the major maize producing districts [Belgaum, Haveri, Bellary, Gadag, Bagalkot, Hassan, Shimoga] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 24.5-193.3 mm,19.5-29.2 C and 79.1-92.7 %. The rainfall ,temperature and RH is beneficial for the grain development of the crop. Excess of rain water should not stagnate in the field.

Uttar Pradesh


In the major maize producing districts [Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Etah, Farrukhabad, Hardoi, Unnao, Mainpuri, Gonda, Jaunpur] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 46.4-286.6 mm,25.5-33.4 C and 83.7-93.4 %.Good amount of rainfall will be congenial for the grain development of the crop. Excess of rain water should not stagnate in the field otherwise the crop will damage.

Rajasthan

In the major maize producing districts [Chittraurgarh, Udaipur, Banaswara, Ajmer, Bundi, Bhilwara, Rajasmand] the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH in the last ten days were 35.2-77.1 mm,22.9-31.4 C and 88-90.8 %. Good amount of rainfall in the major growing areas of Rajasthan will be beneficial for the grain development of the crop. High production of maize is expected this year.

Gujarat
