Black Pepper
The crop remain in flowering from May to August,which requires moderate temperature and frequent rainfall with good drainage for the berry development . The state wise details are given as under :

Kerala

The major pepper producing districts Kannur, Kasargod, Kozikhode, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvanthapuram received rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH were 49-187 mm , 20-28 C and 89-95% . The prevailing weather and forecasted rainfall will help for the continuance of flowering and berry development . The continuance of monsoon activity may compensate for initial poor condition.

Tamil Nadu
Among the major pepper producing districts Namakkal, Nilgiris and Dindigul have rainfall(cumulative), temperature and RH were 46-78 mm ,18-30 C and 83-88% .As per weather forecast the monsoon activity will continue that will be helpful for the flowering and berry development .

Kharif Onion
Kharif onion crop requires 10-11 hr. sunshine and 15-21 C for vegetative growth.

Maharastra

Among the districts(Nashik, Ahmednagar, Pune and Satara) the cumulative rainfall,temperature and RH were 28-142 mm,21-30 C and 85-90 %.The transplanting activities are continued. The forecasted weather condition are favorable for the establishment and growth of the crop.

Karnataka
Among the districts (Dharwar, Bagalkot, Bijapur and Kolar) transplanting of onion is in progress .The cumulative rain ,temperature and RH for the last ten days were 97-104 mm ,21-28 C and 85-92 % . The forecasted weather condition will be congenial for the establishment and development of the crop.

Tamil Nadu

Among he districts Coimbatore, Teni, Namakkal, Salem and Dharmapuri the rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH varied from 59-198m,18-30 C and 84-88 %. The continuance of mild weather ,good amount of rainfall received and forecasted weather conditions are favorable for the good growth of the crop.

Andhra Pradesh

Among the districts Srikakulam, Mahbubnagar, Kurnool and Cuddapah rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH varied from 16-141mm,22-32 C and 80-90%. The temperature ,RH and rainfall among most of the districts are congenial for the growth of the transplanted crop except in Srikakulam where supplemental irrigation is required.

Gujarat
Among the districts Ghandhinagar, Narmada, Bhavnagar, Junagarh, Rajkot and Jamnagar rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH varied from 33-95 mm, 24-32 C and 87-90%. The weather condition is favorable for the transplanting of seedlings and its establishment. The supplemental irrigation is required where rain is less.

Rajasthan
Among the districts Alwar, Jhunjhunun, Sikar, Jaipur, Ajmer, Nagaur and Jodhpur
rainfall(cumulative),temperature and RH varied from 21-271 mm,26-30 C and 85-90 %. The temperature, RH and rainfall is congenial for the transplanting of Kharif onion.

Sugarcane requires hot humid climate and 200-300 cm of rainfall for optimum growth .The statewise progress of central and south India is given as under:

Maharashtra

Among the major cane producing districts Pune, Ahmadnagar, Nashik, Sangli, Kolhapur, Satara, Solapur, Osamanabad, Latur, Hingoli, Parbhani and Yavatmal. Cumulative amount of rainfall,temperature and RH varied between 51-142mm,21-30 C and 87-90 % for last ten days. There are three planting seasons i.e. December-February, July-August and October-November . The weather condition is very much congenial for the growth and establishment of recent sown crop.

Karnataka
The cane producing districts are Bidar, Bellary, Chittradurga, Shimoga, Bagalkot, Belgaum and Bijapur the cumulative rainfall,temperature and RH varied between for the last 10 days varied between 97-233mm,21-30 C and 85-90 %. There are three planting seasons ie. December-February, July-August and October-November . The current weather condition is favorable for boosting of crop growth and development and establishment of the fresh sown crop.

Andhra Pradesh
The major cane producing districts Medak, Nizamabad, Srikakulam, Vizianagram, Vishahapatnam, East Godavari, Krishna, Khammam, Nellore and Chittor the rainfall,temperature and RH varied between 16-102 mm,24-33 C and 80-87%.The crop is almost eight months old. The prevailing and forecasted weather condition will boost the growth and development of the crop.

Tamil Nadu
The major producing districts Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Villuparam , Perambaur, Cuddalore, Salem, Dharmapuri, Karur, Dindigul, Coimbatore and Erode where cumulative rainfall,temperature and RH varied from 53-198 mm, 22-31 C and 83-87 %. The forecasted rainfall and continued favorable weather condition will boost the growth and development of the crop.
